There are about 25 aircraft near the border, with which Russia is constantly shelling Ukraine with guided bombs and other weapons. This was announced by the spokesman for the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Yuriy Ihnat, during a telethon, Ukrainian News reports.
"Currently, there are about 2.5 dozen enemy aircraft of various types on the outskirts of Ukraine, which are striking periodically with guided bombs and other weapons. Thus, the enemy uses aviation every day in different directions. We must be ready for anything," he said.
According to Ihnat, Ukrainian defense forces shot down five Russian army drones during the day.
The spokesman also commented on reports of possible shelling of Kyiv administrative buildings last night in response to the "drone attack" on the Kremlin.
"You know, the hype in social media, in Telegram channels has probably done its job. Citizens will still be attentive. But the hype is not caused when someone wants to do something, but of course, we need to be careful. Enemy aircraft are always active in the sky, a TU-22M3 took off recently and an air alert was announced," the spokesman added.-
