In Odesa yesterday, May 28, in the afternoon, locals heard an explosion. An air alert has been declared in the Odesa region.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine, citing Odesa Mayor Hennadiy Trukhanov on Telegram, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Telegram, and the press service of the Odesa Regional Prosecutor's Office.
The mayor spoke about the explosion and urged local residents to take shelter.
He also warned of repeated launches of Russian missiles.
Before the explosion, the Air Force reported a ballistic missile threat to the southern regions. It could have been launched from the temporarily occupied Crimea.
Russian occupiers have launched a missile attack on the port infrastructure of Odesa.
“The inspection continues, a full list of destruction and damage is being established,” the Odesa regional prosecutor's office said.
