Another strong earthquake hits Turkey

On Saturday, February 18, an earthquake with a magnitude of 5.1 occurred in the Turkish province of Kahramanmaras. This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to Nabertürk TV.

According to the Disaster Management Office, the center of the 5.1-magnitude earthquake was located at a depth of 12 kilometers near the city of Goksun. European seismologists from EMSC estimated the magnitude at 5.3.

No damage or casualties have been reported so far. According to the Turkish Kandilli Observatory, at least 5,800 aftershocks have been recorded since the February 6 earthquakes.

As a reminder, powerful earthquakes hit Turkey and Syria on the morning of February 6. Many buildings were destroyed as a result of the tremors.

According to the latest data, the death toll in Turkey has exceeded 45 thousand people.
