Anusauskas responds to criticism of lack of attention to drones

Lithuanian Defense Minister Arvydas Anušauskas has responded to President Gitanas Nausėda's critical statements about the lack of attention to the capabilities of drones.

Anusauskas said that the situation with the development of the drone industry in Lithuania is under control.

According to him, the ministry he heads talked about plans to develop unmanned aerial vehicles even before Russia launched a large-scale war in Ukraine.

According to the minister, the Lithuanian Armed Forces currently have a concept for the development of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and combat drones.

In turn, the chairman of the Seimas Committee on National Security and Defense, Laurinas Kasciunas, called on Nausėda and Anusauskas to sit down at the negotiating table and move the issue of developing drone capabilities forward.
