Arestovych dismissed - Presidential Office dismissed the advisor
On January 17, Bankova Street granted Arestovych's request for resignation. The order of dismissal was signed by the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Maria Vitushok. This was stated by the press secretary of President Serhiy Nikiforov in a comment to "Ukrainska Pravda".
As it is known, after the missile attack of the occupiers on the Dnipro, which killed more than 40 people, Oleksiy Arestovych said that the Russian missile fell on the house allegedly because of the interception of Ukrainian air defense. His words were immediately picked up by Russian propaganda and presented as the "official position" of Ukraine, which "admitted its guilt" in the deaths of civilians.
As a result, the Ukrainian military was forced to refute the statement of Yermak's advisor, explaining that the house was hit by an X-22 hypersonic cruise missile, which the Ukrainian air defense system is not able to intercept with the means available now.
