Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has convened a meeting of the National Security Council in connection with the "anti-terrorist operation" launched by Baku against unrecognized Nagorno-Karabakh.

This was reported by Radio Azatutyun.

The key topic of the meeting will be "large-scale military actions unleashed by Azerbaijan against Nagorno-Karabakh".

In his latest address to the people, Pashinyan said that he sees Azerbaijan's actions as intentions of ethnic cleansing in Karabakh and expressed surprise that Baku announced a "humanitarian corridor" for those who want to leave, rather than calling on civilians to hide and not endanger themselves if the Azerbaijani army does not hit civilian targets.

"We believe that first of all, Russian peacekeeping forces should take action. Secondly, we expect steps from the UN Security Council," said Nikol Pashinyan.
