Belarus starts checking the combat readiness of its armed forces

Apr 3, 2023

The Ministry of Defense of Belarus announced on Monday that it has begun testing the combat readiness of its armed forces.

This was reported by Yevropeiska Pravda.

In a statement published on Telegram, the ministry noted that the inspections will determine the ability of military units to operate at the highest levels of combat readiness.

"The measures are comprehensive in nature and will determine the ability of commanders to manage subordinate military units and subdivisions while bringing them to the highest levels of combat readiness, as well as the readiness of military units to perform assigned tasks on time," the statement said.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said last month that he plans to deploy Russian tactical nuclear weapons in Belarus.
