Belgium will continue to provide military and financial assistance to Ukraine, but will not send its troops to the front.
This was stated by Belgian Defense Minister Ludivine Dedonder, RBC-Ukraine reports citing The Brussels Times.
According to the newspaper, the Belgian Defense Minister emphasized the continuation of aid to Ukraine and noted that "the provision of all necessary material assistance remains a priority."
According to her, "Belgium prefers to provide material assistance to Ukraine rather than sending troops."
Thus, in 2024, Belgium intends to provide Ukraine with military assistance worth EUR 611 million and will participate in six coalitions to support the Armed Forces and train the Ukrainian military.
