Biden responds to Russia's F-16 threats to Ukraine

U.S. President Joe Biden ridiculed Russians who claimed that Washington would be taking a "huge risk" if it gave Ukraine F-16 fighter jets.

This was reported by the White House press service.

Biden was asked what he thought about the Russians' statement that the supply of F-16s to Ukraine would lead to "enormous risks," to which he replied: "For them".

Earlier, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Aleksandr Grushko said that the West is allegedly on an escalating path by allowing the delivery of F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine.

This statement came after Biden said at the G7 summit that Washington supports the program of training Ukrainian pilots on F-16s.

"We are moving up the so-called escalation ladder. The escalation scenario is followed by Western countries. This scenario is associated with enormous risks for them," a representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry said at the time.
