In Belarus, political prisoner-blogger Nikolai Klimovich, who was convicted for a caricature of Oleksandr Lukashenko, died in a colony.
According to Ukrinform, this was reported by Radio Liberty concerning the Vyasna Human Rights Center.
"A 61-year-old political prisoner-blogger from Pinsk, Mykola Klimovich, died in Vitebsk colony No. 3. He was sentenced to a year in prison for reacting to a caricature of Lukashenko in Odnoklassniki," the statement reads.
It is noted that on February 28, Klimovich, who had the second group of disability due to heart problems, was sentenced to a year in prison under the article on insulting Lukashenko.
Human rights activists clarify that the man was sentenced for a satirical drawing that he posted on his page on the social network.
