Britain to deploy Eurofighter jets to Poland next year

Polish Defense Minister Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysh has announced that starting next year, British Eurofighter Typhoon fighters will serve in Polish airspace.

According to Yevropeiska Pravda, he said this during a press conference with his British counterpart John Gillie, TVP quoted him as saying.

Kosiniak-Kamysh said that one of the results of his talks with Gillie was a declaration on sending 4-6 fighter jets as part of the Baltic Air Policing mission to patrol Polish airspace next year.

“Jasionka (a village in southeastern Poland - Ed.) also has a Sky Sabre system. I thank you for the fact that this system will remain in Poland until the end of the year,” said the head of the Polish defense ministry.

In turn, the UK Secretary of Defense confirmed the strengthening of military cooperation and thanked Poland for its assistance to Ukraine.
