China is challenging NATO and the collective West - Stoltenberg

NATO does not consider China an enemy, but is convinced that Beijing is challenging it.

This was stated by the Secretary General of the North Atlantic Alliance Jens Stoltenberg, RBC-Ukraine reports citing the Japanese edition of Yomiuri.

"NATO does not consider China an adversary, but it challenges our values, interests and security," the head of the alliance said.

Stoltenberg also noted that China poses a threat to Taiwan and neighboring countries. He suspected China of military support for Russia and said that Beijing is "fomenting the biggest war in Europe since World War II."
