The European Union has strongly condemned the launch of ballistic missiles by the Democratic People's Republic of Korea on July 1, which is another violation of UN Security Council resolutions.

This is stated in a statement by the spokesperson for the EU External Action Service, according to Yevropeiska Pravda.

The EU reiterated its call on the DPRK to stop all illegal actions that threaten regional and international peace and security.

"We call on the DPRK to accept the offers of dialogue from the relevant parties and to fulfill its obligations under UN Security Council resolutions for the complete, verifiable, and irreversible abandonment of nuclear weapons and ballistic missiles," the statement said.

"We are also seriously concerned about the deepening cooperation between the DPRK and Russia, which is a flagrant violation of numerous UN Security Council resolutions. We reiterate our strong call on the DPRK and Russia to stop the illegal transfer of weapons," the EU said.

It is noted that the EU is ready to cooperate with all partners in promoting a meaningful diplomatic process aimed at the complete, verifiable, and irreversible denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.
