President Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a telephone conversation with Mark Rutte, who has just resigned as Prime Minister of the Netherlands and will begin work as NATO Secretary General in October.
Zelensky said this on the social network X (Twitter), according to Yevropeiska Pravda.
The head of state thanked him for what he, his government and the people of the Netherlands have done for Ukraine - for "all the timely and large-scale defense, humanitarian and political support."
Zelenskyy said that he and Rutte would continue to stay in touch as the new NATO Secretary General. The President congratulated Rutte on his appointment and discussed Ukraine's future cooperation with the Alliance.
