This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the Official Journal of the EU.

Duties of 89 euros per ton will be in effect until the end of 2024. For the first half of 2025, quotas are set for sugar and eggs. Volumes that exceed these quotas will also be subject to duties.

As noted in the report, the EU Regulation of May 14, 2024, provides for an automatic safeguard measure for eggs, poultry, sugar, oats, corn, cereals, and honey, which should be activated if the total imports of these products from January 1, 2024, reach the average imports in the period from July 1 to December 31, 2021, in 2022 and in 2023.
