On Tuesday, the Czech House of Commons supported sending up to 15 officers of the Military Law Enforcement Service to Ukraine to help investigate war crimes in Ukraine.

Czech military police officers will support the International Criminal Court team investigating crimes in Ukraine. They will work mainly in Ukraine and possibly in the Netherlands, but not around the clock.

The Czech team is expected to be deployed several times a year, each time for four to six weeks. The mission should last until the end of 2024. This year's costs are estimated at 12.4 million Czech crowns and next year's at 17.2 million Czech crowns.

The mission, proposed by the Czech government in March, was supported last week by the upper house of parliament, the Senate.
