Feb 23, 2024

The Danish government on Thursday, February 22, announced a new military aid package for Ukraine worth 1.7 billion kroner ($247.4 million).

The announcement was made at a press conference by Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen, as quoted by Reuters.

The total amount of aid from Denmark to Ukraine, including this package, will amount to 33.3 billion kroner (4.8 billion US dollars).

Frederiksen also called on the allies to increase military aid to Ukraine, which is fighting Russian aggression.

"It must be emphasized that if it (Ukraine) wants to succeed on the battlefield, more volumes must come now. It is in this context that we continue to provide further Danish contributions in the hope that more countries will do the same, not in six or 12 months, but now, when the need is very, very great," she emphasized.
