Denmark expects more countries to join in training Ukrainians on F-16s

The UK, Denmark and Belgium will be involved in training Ukrainian pilots on F-16s. Most likely, other countries will be added to this group, which will help to train Ukrainian crews.

This is reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the statement of Acting Danish Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen, quoted by Avisen Danmark.

"It may take at least six months to train Ukrainian pilots. Several countries will join the group, in particular Denmark, which will train Ukrainian pilots to fly F-16 fighter jets," the minister said.

He added that Belgium, Britain and the Netherlands have already confirmed their desire to join the training. According to him, several other countries are also planning to join the coalition that will train in F-16s.

"I expect that within the next 14 days we can become more specific on this issue," Troels Lund Poulsen added.

He also believes that by July 1, these countries would like to create a concrete project that can be offered to the Ukrainian government. The work could be started as soon as the summer break arrives.
