This is reported by RBC-Ukraine regarding Euractiv.

On Wednesday, EU member states agreed to impose restrictions on three Chinese companies as part of new sanctions to mark the second anniversary of Russia's war against Ukraine.

"The new round of restrictive measures - the 13th since Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24, 2022 - is limited in scope as the bloc sought approval before the second anniversary of the war," the newspaper writes.

EU ambassadors approved the package very quickly, without discussion, except for one statement by Hungary, which last week asked for more time to consider its contents.

The sanctions package focuses most of its efforts on enforcing existing restrictions and targets about 200 hundred officials and organizations, making it the largest package of measures since the beginning of the war.

As part of the new package, EU diplomats imposed an asset freeze and a visa ban on DPRK Defense Minister Kang Sun-nam for supplying ballistic missiles to Russia.

The package also included sanctions against Russian transportation companies involved in the transportation of weapons.

The sanctions also expanded restrictions on the export of certain technologies and electronics, such as chips, machinery, and ball bearings used by the Russian defense industry.
