Explosions occurred in Lviv during an an air raid alert

An explosion was heard in Lviv on the night of Thursday, July 6, amid a large-scale air raid in Ukraine due to missile and drone threats. Soon after, two more explosions were heard in the city.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to Suspilne Lviv.

Initially, the sound of the explosion in Lviv was heard as a single one at a time when air defense against enemy air targets is operating in the region.

Prior to that, the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine warned that several enemy missiles were moving towards the western regions.

"Lviv, Ternopil regions - air defense is working! Stay in shelters!" the Air Force announced.
"We keep information silence! We do not publish anything anywhere!" - wrote the head of the Lviv regional military administration, Maksym Kozytskyi, on his Telegram.

The official soon added that there are new threats in the Lviv region. The alarm continues.

Two more explosions later occurred in the city.

Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovyi in his Telegram urges residents to stay in shelters and approach windows!

"Repeated explosions in the Lviv region are the work of air defense! The missile threat is not over," the Air Force informs. At the same time, citizens are asked to go to shelters.

According to the head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration, "It was very loud in the region." The official promised to disclose the details later, but urged Lviv residents to stay in a safe place, as "there is a danger of new missile attacks."
