Father and 4-year-old son killed in the Sumy region

On the afternoon of June 18, Russians shelled Bilopillia, Sumy region, with artillery. As a result, a father and son were killed.
This was reported by the Sumy Regional Military Administration.
"A shell landed literally three meters away from them. They just ran for cover and did not reach 5 meters. The father died on the spot, the child was not taken to the hospital in time, he died in his arms," Bilopillia Mayor Yuriy Zarko told Suspilne.
According to the official, it happened around 16:20.
The Prosecutor General's Office clarified that the dead child was a 4-year-old boy.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that the deceased father was a 38-year-old senior police lieutenant Roman Babenko.
"The loss of a police officer, a son, a father, a husband, and a small child is irreparable for everyone. We express our condolences to the family and friends," the statement said.-
