Fitch predicts the duration of Russia's war with Ukraine

Fitch Ratings predicts a very protracted war between Russia and Ukraine. Neither side can gain a decisive advantage.
This is reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the Fitch report.
Fitch expects the war to continue through 2024 and into 2025 within its current parameters.
“Although it is unclear whether either side will be able to gain a decisive advantage, there are also no signs of willingness to make concessions, so the war could be very protracted,” the report says.
In the longer term, the agency expects some form of settlement, but considers a “frozen conflict” more likely than a sustainable peace agreement, at least for a significant period.
