Commenting on the recent strikes on military facilities in Russia, a representative of the German federal government Steffen Gebestrait noted that Ukraine has the right to defend itself not only on its own territory.
This was reported by Bild.
During a press conference in Berlin on Wednesday, Gebeestrait noted that Ukraine has been under attack from Russia for more than nine months.
"Ukraine has the right to self-defense, which stems from Article 51 of the UN Charter. Ukraine is not obliged to limit its defensive efforts to its own territory," he added.
