The head of the International Atomic Energy Agency, Rafael Grossi, postponed his trip to Zaporizhzhia NPP, scheduled for Wednesday, due to possible risks caused by the Russian Federation's explosion of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant.
This was reported by The Guardian.
According to a senior Ukrainian government official cited by the newspaper, the trip was postponed "until it becomes safer to travel." According to him, the visit will be postponed for "several hours."
"He’s waiting to be able to travel safely," the senior Ukrainian official said. But he did not say when Grossi would arrive at ZNPP.
At the same time, according to The Guardian, Grossi will visit the plant on Thursday.
Earlier, it was expected that Grossi would arrive at the plant on Wednesday after talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Tuesday, June 13.
