May 26, 2024

Today, militants of the Hamas terrorist group fired at Israel from the city of Rafah in the Gaza Strip. This happened for the first time in four months.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the Times of Israel.

According to the Times of Israel, Hamas militants fired 8 rockets into central Israel from the besieged city of Rafah this afternoon. It was the largest attack from the Gaza Strip in almost four months.

Three of the enemy rockets, according to the Israeli army, were shot down by the Iron Dome air defense system, and five fell in the open. One of the rockets landed near a school in Kibbutz Sa'ad, but there were no casualties. In the Tel Aviv suburbs, however, the fragments of a downed rocket damaged a house and lightly injured two people.

One of the Israeli soldiers, who was near the Rafah crossing between the Gaza Strip and Egypt, took a photo showing traces of rockets coming from the besieged city.
