The Armed Forces will be able to take control of important junctions

At one time, the Americans abandoned cluster munitions for HIMARS systems and produced a large number of such engines. These missiles can strike at a distance of up to 150 kilometers.

Instead, the ammunition our soldiers use for HIMARS now has a range of 84 kilometers. And the longest distance the Armed Forces can strike is 120 kilometers. This is the range of the old Soviet Tochka-U system. The additional 30 kilometers that Ukrainian soldiers will gain with these missiles are very important.

The distance from Kherson to the Perekop Isthmus is 102 kilometers, and to the Chongar railway line is a little more. These munitions will definitely be able to take control of the bridge. And not only it, but also the junctions, including bridges in the Melitopol area,

- explained the military expert.

In addition, the Armed Forces will be able to take fire control of a long logistics line stretching from Debaltseve in Donetsk region to Russia itself.

Long-range missiles will create conditions for a counteroffensive

Thus, the Ukrainian military is using long-range missiles to extend the range of strikes on the occupiers' ammunition. According to a military expert, this war is 95% artillery, so eliminating the enemy's ammunition is the most successful tactic.

"This is a so-called logistical and fire noose. And this weapon will greatly shake the parity of artillery volleys," noted Chernyk.

Russia still has the advantage in the number of artillery volleys per day - today it is about 20 thousand against our 8 thousand. However, the enemy's advantage is decreasing every day, and with the help of these weapons, the Armed Forces will be able to reach a point of equilibrium with the occupiers. And this is a prerequisite for a high-quality counteroffensive of the Armed Forces.
