This is reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to Bild.

Bild's open data analysis expert Julian Repki studied a video from the Kursk region where a heavy Iranian Qods Mohajer-6 drone crashed.

According to the analyst, this particular drone was carrying the latest Iranian Qaem-5 guided bombs. It is noteworthy that Iran itself adopted them only in 2019.

  • “Apparently, the drone was supposed to attack the Sumy region, but for some unknown reason it crashed,” Repke said.

Prior to this incident, the Russian occupiers had not used high-precision Qaem-5s in Ukraine. According to Repke, their use indicates a “new level” of military cooperation between Tehran and Moscow.
