The Japanese government has expanded the list of companies that need a special permit to supply products. These restrictions are being imposed because of concerns that these companies may be producing weapons of mass destruction. Russian companies that fell under the company restrictions: Miass Machine-Building Plant, JSC Vympel, Ural Research Institute of Composite Materials, United Engine Corporation, UDK-Saturn, Turaevsky Plant of Special Structures, Temp-Avia, Tactical Missile Arms JSC, Biological Synthesis Systems LLC.

Earlier, it was reported that Japan and the United States agreed to impose new sanctions against Russia.
