On the night of June 24, Chechen units began to retreat from their positions in Marinka, Donetsk region.
This was reported by Colonel Yaroslav Chepurnyi, press officer, on the air of the United News telethon.
"Last night Chechen units fighting against us in Maryinka suddenly withdrew and started to leave Maryinka. Our aerial reconnaissance spotted this and we delivered fire on the enemy. One armored personnel carrier was even hit," he said.
It is not known whether the retreat was related to the fact that the leader of the Wagner PMC, Prigozhin, announced a march on Moscow.
Kadyrov, of course, sided with Putin in this conflict, on whom he is completely dependent. He even sent a column of Kadyrov's men to the Rostov region.
