Last weekend's peace summit in Saudi Arabia was a breakthrough for Ukraine, showing the possibility of uniting countries around President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's Ukrainian peace formula.
This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba, RBC-Ukraine reports citing Reuters.
"If a country wants to be at the forefront of world politics, it must become a participant in these coordination meetings," he said, referring to the Jeddah talks and a smaller event held earlier this summer in Copenhagen.
Kuleba noted that the number of countries interested in participating in the peace talks has increased dramatically in recent weeks, adding that these events lay a crucial foundation for future negotiations on a peaceful vision for Ukraine.
"I believe that the meeting in Jeddah was a breakthrough, because for the first time it was attended by countries representing the whole world, not just Europe and North America," he said.-
