Jun 6, 2023

Given that the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant in the Kherson region of Ukraine was partially destroyed by an explosion, the Tavi Draugi ("Your Friends") association has begun collecting donations for flood victims.

According to Tavi Draugi on Facebook, it has received a list of necessary items from its partners in Ukraine and calls on all Latvian residents to help by donating basic necessities.

These include bed linen, towels, pillows and blankets, wet and dry wipes, soap, shampoo, shower gel, toothpaste, toothbrushes, diapers for adults and children, detergents, canned or long-life convenience foods, electric kettles, microwaves, and refrigerators.

Donations can be dropped off at the Tavi Draugi hangar in Riga from Monday to Saturday from 10:00 to 18:00.
