There are 33 children among the civilians. Before the war, the city was home to more than 72,000 people.

"The evacuation continues, and not only in Bakhmut, we are working along the entire front line," said Kyrylenko.

He noted that more than a million people have left Donetsk region since February 24, 2022.

"There are still people who categorically do not want to leave, and it is very difficult to persuade them. Out of 1 million 670 thousand people in Donetsk region, more than 1 million 100 thousand have left since February 24, 2022," Kirilenko said.
