Liberation of the occupied territories will be long and difficult

Ukraine expects that the liberation of the territories occupied by the Russians will be long and exhausting, Mykhailo Podolyak, adviser to the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, said, Deutsche Welle reports.

This is what Podolyak's interview with AFP says.

"Of course, this operation will be quite difficult, long and will take quite a lot of time."

He added that progress is "slower than we would like."

The adviser to the head of the OP noted that the counteroffensive is complicated by dense mining, as well as problems with material and technical support, in particular with the supply of weapons.

"Of course, we need additional armored vehicles - two to three hundred tanks, first of all. We need 60 to 80 F-16 aircraft to cover the sky well, especially on the front," explained Podolyak.

At the same time, he added that the number of offensive operations of the Ukrainian army is "gradually increasing", and currently not all trained brigades are deployed on the battlefield.
