Mar 31, 2023

In his address to the nation on Friday, self-proclaimed President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko spoke about the possibility of deploying Russian strategic nuclear weapons on Belarusian territory.

This was reported by BelTA.

In his address, Lukashenka first recalled the agreement with Russian President Vladimir Putin to deploy tactical nuclear weapons in Belarus, for which, he said, all the infrastructure was created and ready.

"If necessary, Putin and I will decide and bring strategic nuclear weapons here. And they should understand this, the scoundrels who are trying to undermine us from the inside and outside. We will stop at nothing to defend our countries, our states, and our peoples," the self-proclaimed president of Belarus added.

He added that nuclear weapons in Belarus, in his opinion, will force all overseas hawks and their satellites to reckon with our people if they do not understand another language.

Strategic nuclear weapons are the conventional name for nuclear weapons that have an intercontinental radius of destruction. Its carriers are intercontinental cruise and ballistic missiles and strategic bombers.
