The meeting of the deputies will be the last in the spring-summer session.

The Moldovan government explained the need to extend the state of emergency to the continuing risks to the country's national security.

According to the document on the initiative, Moldova remains at risk of hybrid warfare, "promotion of false information, manipulation for military purposes and interethnic violence."

"At the same time, the war in Ukraine may interfere with the supply of natural gas and electricity to Moldova," the document says.
