More than 80 thousand Ukrainians remain in Moldova

More than 660 thousand Ukrainian citizens have entered Moldova since the beginning of the war in Ukraine on February 24, 2022, while more than 80 thousand citizens of Ukraine remain in the country today.

Such data were provided by the Moldovan border police on January 9, writes Newsmaker.

According to the border guards, from February 24, 2022, 739,680 foreigners, 664,059 of whom are citizens of Ukraine, entered Moldova from Ukraine by the end of the year, including 198,652 minors.

At the same time, 201,082 Ukrainians arrived at the border with Moldova on foot.

As of January 1, 2023, there were still 89,593 foreigners on the territory of Moldova, 83,441 of which were citizens of Ukraine.
