NATO summit needs concrete steps for Ukraine's membership

The new Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsakhkna has stated the need to define a clear path to membership for Ukraine at the NATO summit.

He said this during an official visit to Lithuania, ERR reports.

"The summit in Vilnius should give Ukraine clear signals and concrete steps to join NATO, and I hope that Sweden will become a NATO member before the summit," Tsakhkna said during a meeting with his counterpart Gabrielus Landsbergis.

He emphasized the importance of continuing to support Ukraine: "We must strengthen sanctions against Russia, lower the oil price ceiling, and continue to isolate the aggressor to raise the cost of war for them.
