Jul 5, 2023

The first meeting of the NATO-Ukraine Council, a new format of cooperation between Kyiv and the Alliance, will take place on July 12, the second day of the Vilnius Summit.

This follows from the official program of the summit, which is available to Yevropeiska Pravda.

It is noted that the meeting of the NATO-Ukraine Council "at the level of heads of state and government, including Sweden" will take place on July 12 at 13:00.

It will be opened with a public opening speech by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.

The announcement, and in particular the mention of the participation of "heads of state and government," means that President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will most likely attend the NATO summit in Vilnius in person.
