The Dutch authorities expect that the training of Ukrainian pilots on F-16 fighter jets will start as soon as possible.
This was stated in a letter of the Dutch Defense Minister Kaisa Ollongren to the Parliament, The Guardian reports.
"The Netherlands wants to give Ukrainian pilots F-16 training as soon as possible," the outlet quotes the content of the letter.
At the same time, the minister's letter notes that the training will be coordinated with Belgium, Denmark and Great Britain, and other countries may join it.
It should be noted that last week, U.S. President Joe Biden supported the training of Ukrainian pilots on U.S. F-16 fighters. After that, other allies announced plans to help implement a similar initiative.
