It is noted that the project is aimed at "supporting Ukrainian civilian security sector agencies to stabilize and restore power, security and social security in the de-occupied territories of Ukraine". It will be implemented by the EU Advisory Mission Ukraine (EUAM Ukraine).

The project envisages providing Ukrainian law enforcement officers working in the de-occupied territories with mobile stations and IT equipment. After all, they will have to perform many tasks in addition to their usual peacetime functions, such as educating civilians about mine safety, and collecting data at the sites of possible war crimes as soon as possible while evidence and witnesses are available.

"In addition, they need forensic equipment to work at suspected war crimes sites, as well as communications equipment to work together in what is still a very dangerous environment," the statement said.
