Lieutenant General Serhiy Nayev, Commander of the Joint Forces, said this in a comment to Ukrinform.
"At present, as of today, no Wagner PMC units have been spotted in Belarus. However, we are aware of further developments in the situation, and our intelligence agencies are working to obtain information about this. If this happens, the military command will know about it," Nayev said.
He added that several scenarios are being considered in the event of the Wagnerites' appearance in Belarus.
"In each of them, the Armed Forces will take adequate countermeasures. We are currently preparing forces to counter possible manifestations," Nayev said.-
He also noted that Ukrainian intelligence and Ukraine's partners are closely monitoring the situation in Belarus, including the movement of nuclear weapons, as reported by Russia. So far, he said, no such movements have been recorded.
