Occupants carry out another cross-border raid

Jul 25, 2024

Russian occupants conducted a raid near Sotnytsia Kozachok on the border of Kharkiv region. Also, the advance of the invaders near Avdiivka and Donetsk is recorded at the front.

This is reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to a new report by the Institute for the Study of War (ISW).

On July 24, the Russian occupiers launched a limited cross-border attack northwest of Kharkiv.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that the enemy conducted a ground attack near Sotnytsia Kozachok (directly on the border with the Belgorod region of the Russian Federation).

However, ISW did not observe any visual evidence that Russians had taken up positions in Sotnytsia Kozachka as a result of the raid. Analysts estimate that the Russian Federation does not have a long-term presence in this settlement.

Russian troops have recently advanced north of Kharkiv. Geolocation footage released on July 23 shows that the occupiers have advanced west to Polyova Street in western Hlyboke.

Russian sources continue to claim that Putin's forces have allegedly captured all or almost all of Hlyboke, despite Ukrainian counterattacks, which is generally consistent with evidence of Russian troops advancing to Poleva Street.

Positional fighting continued on July 23 and 24 near Hlyboke, Vovchansk, Tykhy and Starytsia.

A Russian “military commander” said that the Ukrainian Armed Forces were counterattacking near Starytsia, and that small arms fighting was taking place near high-rise buildings in Vovchansk.
