Today, on April 8, the Russian military once again attacked the border areas of the Sumy region.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the Sumy Regional Military Administration.
During the day, the Russians fired 7 times at the border communities of the Sumy region - Bilopil, Khotyn, Velykopysariv, and Miropil.
The Russian military dropped 9 mines on the territory of the Myropilska community.
There was a mortar attack on the Khotyn community. A total of 3 "hits" were recorded.
The Russians fired at the Bilopil community with mortars - 20 arrivals and with an automatic grenade launcher - 20 shots. In addition, 2 VOG-type munitions were dropped on the territory of the community using a UAV.
The enemy also fired at the Velykopysarivska community from an automatic grenade launcher. In total, 25 shots were fired during the day.
In total, Russians fired 79 times at the Sumy region over the last day.
"According to the military, the operational situation on the border of the Sumy region is currently under control. No enemy offensive groups have been detected near the state border," the administration added.
