"Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Russian occupants have damaged 2208 houses in Mariupol. Of these, 50% have been destroyed. Now they are demolishing them, leaving pits and piles of stones. Almost 300 houses (282 apartment buildings - ed.) have already been dismantled, and the occupiers plan to demolish about 700 houses."

The mayor's office notes that the demolition of houses is one of the ways the occupiers are trying to hide their crimes.
