On May 5, Russian occupants shelled Avdiivka, Donetsk region. This was reported to Suspilne by the head of the Avdiivka city military administration Vitaliy Barabash.
The occupants hit an apartment building.
"A family of three lived on the second floor of an apartment building. After being hit, the woman flew out the window in the apartment and died, while her husband and mother were trapped under the rubble," the statement said.
Regional prosecutor's office spokeswoman Anastasia Medvedeva said that the woman had received injuries incompatible with life, and the condition of the two people trapped under the rubble was unknown.
Barabash said that on May 5, the Russian military shelled Avdiivka more than 20 times. There are 1776 residents left in the city, including one child who is still missing.
On May 5, Russian occupants also shelled Sloviansk and Kramatorsk in the Donetsk region. Industrial enterprises came under fire, with no casualties.
The village of Predtechine of the Kostiantynivka community also came under fire, and one person was killed.
