Russian occupiers shelled Kherson with phosphorus ammunition on December 23. This was reported by the National Resistance Center established by the Special Operations Forces.
"Russian troops continue to terrorize Kherson after it was liberated by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Every day the city is shelled with rocket and cannon artillery. Today, on December 23, the occupants struck the city using phosphorus ammunition," the statement reads.
The Center reminded that the use of phosphorus bombs and other shells with white phosphorus near and inside populated areas is prohibited by the Geneva Convention relative to the Protection of War Victims.
