Poland is likely to revise the list of products banned for import

Apr 20, 2023

Poland is likely to change the list of Ukrainian agricultural products, the import of which was banned last Saturday due to negative consequences for its own farmers.

This was stated by the Minister of Agriculture of Poland Robert Telus in a commentary to RMF FM.

The minister noted that the list of products banned for importation announced on April 15 may change - most likely, meat, wine, and live cattle will be removed from it.

Commenting on the announced measures to track Ukrainian grain in transit through Poland, the Minister noted that GPS beacons will be applied to cargoes transported by road and rail. However, vehicles can be grouped for this purpose, rather than creating a tracker for each truck with cargo.

"Vehicles can be grouped together. I can't say whether it will be 10 or 20 vehicles - the decision will be up to the customs service," the minister explained.
