According to Ukrinform, this was stated by First Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Emine Dzhaparova in an interview with CNBC-TV18.

"We think that India should play a greater role at the global level, a greater role in the Ukrainian issue. We believe that the first step on this path is to strengthen political dialogue at the highest level. My visit is the first step. The goal is to have a phone conversation with the Prime Minister one day. We are very much looking forward to his visit to Kyiv," Dzhaparova said.

The First Deputy Minister noted that Ukraine would also be happy to welcome National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and representatives of the Indian Foreign Ministry.

According to Dzhaparova, Ukraine believes that New Delhi should be more involved in the Ukrainian issue.

"We believe that with India's global role - especially given its role in the G20, given its influence on the global South and its leadership role for Asia and Africa - it is important not to avoid discussions about Ukraine. It may seem like a regional or distant issue here, but it is not," said the First Deputy Foreign Minister.
