Putin and Erdogan discussed the path to peace

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has once again reiterated his offer to mediate between Ukraine and Russia to end the war.

This was discussed during a phone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday, the Turkish president's office said, according to European Pravda.

Erdogan said that Ankara is ready to assist and mediate on the way to ensure long-term peace between Russia and Ukraine.

In addition, according to the Turkish side, Erdogan and Putin discussed a grain corridor and ammonia supplies, as well as a project to send Russian grain to African countries after its milling in Turkey.

The Kremlin said that Putin discussed with Erdogan the prisoner exchange with Ukraine, the implementation of the grain agreement, the supply of Russian gas, and the creation of a gas hub. In addition, Putin accused Ukraine of intensifying hostilities and "hypocrisy" over its rejection of the so-called "Christmas truce.
