Andriy Ilyenko, an officer of the Svoboda battalion of the 4th operational brigade of the Rubizh National Guard, believes that Putin's plan included aggression against the Baltic states and other European countries.

He expressed this opinion in the program "Verdict with Serhiy Rudenko" on the Espresso TV channel.

"Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Romania are intensively supporting Ukraine because they understand that they are at direct risk. When Putin started the war, his plan was not limited to Ukraine. This plan included at least a hybrid aggression against the Baltic states, and maybe a full-scale one. This plan included the same aggression against Poland and other countries," Ilyenko emphasized.

The officer recalled a statement that the Kremlin sent to Washington on the eve of a full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

"Back then, the Kremlin said that NATO should get out of the countries of the former Warsaw Pact. By doing so, Russia was raising the issue of restoring the Soviet sphere of influence in Europe. The political leadership of these countries realized that if Putin started a crazy war against Ukraine, then his other statements should be treated as a real threat. They understand that Ukraine is fighting for them as well so that the war does not come to their land," Ilyenko emphasized.
